For any leader, vision is very important for example a CEO. As a leader you must be able to have full knowledge of the business from the inside out. You should know exactly where the company is headed and where they ought to be. Only then will they be able to guide the employees under them on how to go about things. The decisions that should be made and the course of action to be taken is dictated by the vision. This gives the company and everyone in them a sense of direction.
One must be accessible and approachable by everyone in the company or business and this is another important quality that has been learned. The approach that is taking over is the open-door policy. This simply means that anyone can be able to approach leadership without any hindrances and share their hearts and mind concerning certain things that could be troubling them.
Respect is another great quality. Respect is one thing that is two-way in that when you respect someone you’re also respected in return. Respect your employees even though they are under you and are under your command because it is always good respect. You and respect instead of commanding and therefore peaceful coexistence is created between you and your employees. You also act as a good example that they will emulates when relating among themselves.
Even as you scale up the ladder, one thing that has also been pointed out is learning from people. Those people around us always teach us something for instance even those who are below us for example employees. It is important that you continue learning from people and not to despise anyone even as you scale up the career ladder. Whatever you learn all is make sure you apply and put into practice so that it ceases to be knowledge but it may also transform you.
But not least, it is important to be true and honest with yourself and others. People will likewise be true to you as you become true to them.
